Hand cut decorative motifs in a variety of themes.
I design and make these simple motifs for decorating wall space around the home. I roll out a piece of clay and hand cut the shape whilst the clay is soft. Minimal decoration is added before glazing and firing to 1270 °c. All my motifs are durable enough to be permanently fixed outdoors *.
I always have a stock of my standard sizes available. I can also make motifs to special order in different sizes and colours on request.
*The stoneware clay I use is totally frost proof.I bond the backings on with a high quality epoxy resin with a performance range of -30°c/+50°c. The lighter duty backings that I use on the smaller motifs may well deteriorate outdoors over a period of time. With this in mind a more permanent fixing to an outside wall is advisable.
